Re: NYC?
I went to NYC in 1998 and we literally ran from the Empire State Building to Times Square where our hotel was because it was getting dark. I am looking out my window and I see old people walking around so we decide to go back out and there were cops every where. And talk about nice people, The cop g...

Re: National Park Carry Bill Passed
This says they cannot prohibit in a NPS unit. Does this mean I can also carry inside a building in the park if the state says its ok to? I believe the way it works is: If there is no law saying you that "CAN NOT DO IT"... Then you can do it. Then this bill would be better than bush's exec...

Re: Guns In the National Parks
Well, it can pass the house and the senate... It still has to cross the desk of someone who would veto this in a New York minute... He might not veto it, This is a pretty non-substantial bill (by that I mean not effecting a large amount of people) that he could use as a way of saying "I suppor...

Re: Is campus carry dead?
I just had my wife call members of both committees. She's a professor and fully support campus carry and her right to protect herself when she leaves campus often very late in the evening. One of the senators aides indicated that the State Affairs committee was waiting for this to get through he ho...

Carol Woodward, a spokesperson for the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, said the UMHB campus will continue to ban firearms, even if the legislation is passed. 2.) Wow. I don't know if this school is private or not, but I bet the biggest fuel to the student protests against this bill come from thei...

I thought it was illegal for a state employee to comment on pending legislation. At least when they (the local news) where asking questions of the local colleges they all said the same thing. "Its illegal to comment on pending legislation"

... The DA has to decide whether to prosecute, and then get an indictment from the grand jury (which he probably would in this case)...- Jim If the DA wants an indictment from the grand jury, he will get one. Wasn't the whole DUI/Insurance checkpoint system thrown out by the state supreme court many years ago when they mandated insurance in Texas.
