Re: Sansom Park Police Officer shot during training at school
We'll see if there's any media follow up. What you'll find out, is the person who fired the weapon, didn't check it for live ammo. 3rd party or no, if that weapon is in your hands, check it. If you don't, whatever happens, is on you in my book. Just my .02.

Re: Uvalde School shooting
Paldin has a very good point. Had the police stopped handcuffing & detaining parents who were trying to rescue their children, and went after the BG, how ever they were armed, there may well had been more survivors. 10 regular, armed citizens with Glocks (or similar) will stop one BG with an AR-...

Re: CO: Forceful Arrest Of 73-Year-Old With Dementia
Former Colorado cop sentenced to 5 years for assaulting woman with dementia during 2020 arrest - Former officer Hopp accepted a plea agreement in March that allowed him to plead guilty to an amended charge of second-degree assault, a Class 4 felony, despite strong opposition from Garner's family. J...

Re: No place but Minneapolis
While I agree I would use every advantage available, the quote you refer to was about three LEOs trying to arrest a suspect who was resisting. if three against one isn't advantage enough, somebody is in the wrong business.

"a Texas Ranger and a police trainee who were on the scene told defense lawyers it was possible that he did not hear Heidelberg’s announcement" - So, the policemen announced who he was while outside the house. He then he went inside, alarm blaring, (no announcement) armed, and dressed in d...

Re: 5 Officers Shot In Houston - Pray
I received a reply back from a Houston reporter - There is a delay in Bryant's sentencing, it's now set for February 22. He's still out on bond and will now get to spend the holidays with his family. There's no word on what the government received for the six month delay. https://www.click2houston.c...

Re: 5 Officers Shot In Houston - Pray
This is just very strange, I can't find any stories about former officer Bryant being sentenced. I do find lots of them saying his sentencing would be held August 24, and the woman that made the false 911 calls being sentenced to 40 months. I also can't find any stories talking about a delay of Brya...

It's not just 'experienced' but casual shooters like us, the pros too. I've met a few "pros" that were very dangerous on a shooting range.

Re: 5 Officers Shot In Houston - Pray
A much more in-depth accounting of what happened today, but still no solid answers about how, or why the homeowners were killed. We may never know the true, honest answers. “When I made the false phone calls to 911 … I wasn’t in my right mind,” she said. “I made a bad decision. I’m sorry for it. I n...

Re: 5 Officers Shot In Houston - Pray
May I suggest we all keep our eyes and ears open tomorrow, the woman who placed a series of false 911 calls setting in motion the raid on Harding street is being sentenced on June 8, 2021. Lets hope some questions are answered, and she gets some serious time for her crime. She's already a convicted ...

Re: 5 Officers Shot In Houston - Pray
I'm not sure I agree with your analysis. I think the whole house of cards fell because a couple of officers were seriously wounded during the execution of the search warrant. That led to the discovery that the warrant was obtained because one of the officers perjured himself. If none of the officer...

Re: Woman shot by off-duty officer
A 17-year law enforcement veteran turned Texas A&M Central Texas professor, Dr. Tammy Bracewell explained that there are numerous circumstances when off-duty officers are safer just to call someone that’s on the clock. ”In most cases, it really is those times when a life is in danger when you se...
