WTS Remington Model 700 BDL .30/06
I have a beautiful Remington Model 700 BDL chambered in .30/06 that I'd be willing to sell, as it doesn't get much use from me. It is a really nice looking old gun. I found out recently it was made in 1978. I've talked to a couple of gunsmiths about it, and they have all said they don't make them th...

Re: Thinking of buying a new gun...can I shoot yours first?
I have a 30/06 and a 7mag. I have hunted in Alaska, and there has been nothing the 7mag didn't handle. (both rifles are overkill in East Texas, where I prefer a 30/30) I don't enjoy sighting in the 7mag so I don't get much range time with it. I shoot the 30/06 much more because it is less abusive. ...

Re: Thinking of buying a new gun...can I shoot yours first?
Dog - I've got a Weatherby Accumark chambered in .300 WinMag, it also has an Accubrake (added on by Ray's in Dallas), scoped with a Swarovski 10x. It packs a punch, let me tell you! That's why I added the Accubrake. It's quite L O U D with the brake but it definitely tames the recoil. I haven't sho...

Re: WTS: CrossBreed Super Tuck Deluxe REDUCED PRICE
The paperwork that came with the holster, and their website, says:gigag04 wrote:If it fits the others, it will not fit a 21, or a 20 or 30 for that matter.

Re: Thinking of buying a new gun...can I shoot yours first?
Beiruty, valid question. I intend to shoot what I consider rather large animals in the near future...elk sized animals which I may need to take at a distance greater than 100 yards, and for which I'd prefer they drop with one shot. I realize that shot placement is more important than bullet size in ...

Thinking of buying a new gun...can I shoot yours first?
I'm thinking about buying a new gun in one of the following calibers: .300 Winchester Magnum (or Weatherby Magnum) .300 WSM .325 WSM I've come to these calibers due to their flat shooting and hard hitting characteristics. Problem is, I've never actually shot a rifle chambered in one of these rounds,...

Gunsmith in Dallas area
Can anyone suggest a gunsmith in the Dallas area to do some accurizing work on a bolt action gun? Looking at maybe some glass bedding, free floating, trigger work, etc. Oh, and maybe a new recoil pad.

Re: Will the ATI GSG MP5 SD be a collector's item?
I had the original GSG-5, so no need for the parts kit. But, I ended up swapping it for the HK 416 .22 LR. I already have a 5.56 AR, and decided that a .22 AR would be a fun plinker plus I practice on the same form factor. I took it out today briefly and shot a few hundred rounds through it. Very fu...

Re: S&B 1.5-6 with 6.8 at the range with pics
How do you like that Wilson Combat 6.8? I've been seriously considering a 6.8, and went and fondled one  at the gun store today. Was really lightweight. Felt really good. Especially after hefting some of the latest and greatest 7.62 guns. Anyway, any thoughts would be great. And for what it's...

Will the ATI GSG MP5 SD be a collector's item?
I picked up a GSG-5 SD at a local gun store right before Christmas. It is the 1st Anniversary edition. I know ATI was sued by HK and lost, and HK is licensing the MP-5 to Umarex for future production. So, once the stock of ATI imported GSGs are gone, they're gone. I know they've been popular, and I'...

Can any members of the DPC tell me the benefit of joining DPC, as opposed to just going to Elm Fork every once in a while? DPC is kind of expensive, and while it sounds interesting I like to shoot my AR but understand I can't shoot it at DPC but can in the tactical bays at Elm Fork. At DPC if all I ...
