You mean like the 10 year old sexual discrimination suit that Wal-Mart took to the SCOTUS or do you mean like my elderly stepmother who was coerced into signing a release before the Nashville Wal-Mart she was injured in would call the paramedics?

Wal-Mart ain't givin' nobody nothin'!

That's why we stopped the campus carry bills in the Texas House. I know it's unpopular with some of you guys but think about what might happen if these boys got drunk on that beer and decided they wanted to have sex. If they picked a girl who was armed, they could take her gun and kill her. Or she could wind up shooting them instead during the struggle. Either way we have dead kids because she was packing heat at school. It's safer for everyone to keep guns off college campuses, especially dorm rooms and other places college students drink.
Just out of curiosity, who is "we"? I think I know who "some of you guys" may be.

:iagree: , it's hard to get anything by Keith B.

All Keith said was that she put herself in danger by doing what she did...that's pretty much a fact, I don't know that you can dispute that. Jumping on a car to prevent somebody from going somewhere is fool's errand. There's a lady in Manteca, CA that could attest to that fact.
:smilelol5: I put myself in danger everyday when I cross the street in down town Dallas.
You reckon that this assaulted woman http://texaschlforum.com/viewtopic.php? ... 34#p559151" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; could have used your help?

Re: She meant well but her actions were unwise

A few years back, my dear old stemother was injured by a falling item in a Wal-Mart in Nashville. They coerced her into signing a release before they would apply a bandage or call the paramedics. Sueing Wal-Mart (or the tobacco companies) is not a short term solution for relief.

Wal-Mart is the largest business in the universe. They can handle their own shoplifters.
