Me too, if you please.

This is getting rather wearisome. The man is the POTUS and to paraphrase Omar, the tentmaker:
" The Moving Finger writes; and, having writ,
Moves on: nor all thy Piety nor Wit
Shall lure it back to cancel half a Line,
Nor all thy Tears wash out a Word of it."
The only thing that will change the fact that the man is the current POTUS is for someone to come forward whom all Americans can relate to, believe in and elect as POTUS in 2012. So far, I ain't seen that someone, alas.

As said earlier, the GOP seems to have formed a circular firing squad. It's time to quit with the fingerpointing and blame placing and come up with a person and a platform that I can relate to. There, I've said it; what's good for the Oldgringo is good for America.

BTW, it's 96° and the wind is about at Force 8 on the Beaufort Scale in Amarillo - :mad5 It should be in the mid-40's when we hit Colorado Springs, tomorrow afternoon. :anamatedbanana

BTW, did y'all hear that Exxon posted an $11,000,000,000 profit in the 1st quarter of 2011. Did anyone other than me buy petrol today? I had to wait while Brookshire Bros. in Rusk turned off the pumps to raise the cost of diesel $0.04/gallon on fuel that was in the ground at the store because the price of undelivered crude rose to nearly $113/barrel.

Is this a great country or what?
Yes it is!

Buy gold, short the dollar, go long commodities. It will more than pay for your fuel.

Good eye! I remember reading "Something of Value" and seeing "King Soloman's Mines", "Mogambo", etc. In those instances, African meant from and of Africa.

There weren't any African-Americans when I graduated from HS in Nashville, TN in 1960. You were either an American or you weren't. Frankly, I still don't know when the term African-American came into being or what it means. Perhaps I'll run into a Bulgarian-American or an Equadorean-American or some such who can shed some light on the subject. I'd really like to meet an Icelandic-American and see what they have to allow on the subject.
