Stand by your guns, Beiruty. In this instance your are absolutely correct. Let the kids play in their own yard or better yet, their own house.Beiruty wrote:, In my teens, I had next door friend who lost an eye when "indirectly" shot in the eye with a BB. You know, losing and eye is not fun. It is life changing event. You can't even hide it behind crystal eye ball. I do not mind other kids having fun in their backyard, in professional place, in the woods even where there is no one around.

Re: Dealing with Teens fighting a war in the Park!
I'm not sour, I just never cared for a dog that wouldn't come when called or ill-mannered, inconsiderate and rude kids. Since you brought it up, I've found that when I didn't like a particular set of kids, I didn't like the parents either. I wonder why that is?nyj wrote:oldgringo is the sour old man waving his cane at kids passing by, "GET OFF MY LAWN!!!!!"

How about a lawsuit to help pay for the glass eye and the loss of consortium, etc?gigag04 wrote:Was it airsoft or nerf? OPs posts are conflicting. There is nothing soft about an airsoft pellet.
If they were running co2 airsoft guns than that might be worth a warning.

Yeah, let 'em be kids at, and in, your house. Thank you.nyj wrote:Ah, I remember having wars with those when I was a kid.

Re: Dealing with Teens fighting a war in the Park!
My only run in with the law happened while having fun in a Nashville park in 1962. That misunderstanding cost me several hours in the Nashville jail up and $50 of 1962 money. The Park Police took me and our beer, the girl I was having fun with took my Dad's car to go find bail.gigag04 wrote:...The kids were having fun at a park....
I've oftened wondered whatever happened to Bonnie? Aaah, those were the good 'ol days.

For an historic first, I agree with Beiruty on this matter.
Other issues remain issues.
