There are a lot of dumb people out there now.
:iagree: and I'd think the girl's parents would like to know where she's going and with whom; especially, if she's still living at home and off her parents.

Now, if the girl is mature enough to have set out on her own, she is out on her own and sets her own standards for social intercourse.

BTW, I never had any daughters, I just happen to be an expert on women "rlol" .

Well he should be...from no less than three (3) viewpoints.

I don't know about the rest of y'all, but the next time I go on a "blind date"; we will probably meet for lunch...in the daylight (I've met enough 'nice personalities' and seen enough 'pigs in a poke'). Inasmuch as we're both seasoned adults, she'll have her getaway vehicle and I'll have mine. I'll be packin' and will assume she is too.

If the lunch thinghy works out, we'll think about going out after dark in one truck. I'll still be packin' in the event that she gets too frisky.

I'm rethinking how I do things too. I've always preferred to pick a girl up at her house. I try to plan a great night in advance and some girls like for guys to make all the decisions. I think from now on I"ll be meeting girls at the location. I'll also be carrying a tape recorder with me.
Back in the day, the guy would come to the house and meet the parents. The girl's parents would ask stupid and embarrassing questions like, "where are you going" and "when do you expect to be back" and "where do you go to school or work", etc.?

The gir's parents would actually act like they cared for the daughter's safety and well-being and the guy would actually act like he had some manners. How dumb is that? SHEEZ!

Re: Attempted rape / pepper spray / issue

Woodrow Call: "I hate rude behavior in a man. I won't tolerate it". - from Lonesone Dove, circa 1989.

That said, is it possible that manner of speaking, scent, dress, overall appearance and composure can bring about ruttish behavior in the male? The answer is, "YES", look throughout the animal kingdom.

A "blind dating site" did you say? Imagine that, "Surprise"!

I would not allow the police to talk them out of pressing charges. Date rape is WAY too common an issue. While it may not get prosecuted, especially since it is a she said/he said thing, it will let the guy know they are serious about this. And, if they hassle her about the use of pepper spray in a defense situation, or even carrying it period, then I would go to their supervisors and file a complaint. Small pepper spray canisters are TOTALLY legal.
File Charges! Isn't it fortuitous that she had the foresight to purchase the pepper spray before her blind date with this fiend.
