No, I was a 24 year old full time student with a pregnant wife when my number came up as 1-A in 1966. I sometimes feel like I missed something by not being there. OTOH, I'm alive and have use of my faculties.Mojo asked:
...it's been beaucoup years since I heard or read di di mau! I was in country '67-'68 with the First Cavalry, you?

Re: Restaurant Scenario
My local hospital/medical facility has a "gunbuster sign" whereas the other local hospital/medical facility has a valid 30.06 sign. My facility's sign of choice does not apply to me; however, if a nurse, doctor or a registration clerk saw my CW and told me my gun wasn't allowed, I'd di di mau to the parking lot and bleed to death...or something.MoJo wrote:I consider a gunbuster as a "you're not welcome" sign and stay away. The shopkeeper's intent is "no guns" so I will "no money" them. There is very little available at posted (both valid and invalid) establishments you can't find elsewhere.
Seriously, we're now back to the old CHL truism; i.e., "concealed is concealed". ITMT, the "gunbuster sign" doesn't apply to this CH licensee.

And never return.
I do not stay where I am not wanted. I do not return to anywhere I have been asked to leave, and I do not cause bad feelings. How would that help?
Out of curiosity, how many CHL holders here have had this happen?

Re: Restaurant Scenario
That's certainly one way of dealing with a "gunbuster sign"; however, a simple "gunbuster" sign is not legal notice to a Texas CH licensee IN TEXAS.glbedd53 wrote:Gun buster is an unwelcome sign. Should have never gone in.
The manager's oral directive is most definitely legal notice to vamanos andele.

Re: Restaurant Scenario
You are required to leave but are you required to pay for a burger that has suddenly turned into a bitter vetch on your tongue? I think the eviction notice is immediate and does not allow a stop at the cash register; especially, if you left the {stinky} on the table. OTOH, if this occurs at a fast food joint where one pays before eating, the payment question is moot. The di di mau question is not.The Annoyed Man wrote:You've been given verbal warning. You are required to leave. Go, and never give them any of your money again. The manager comes over and says "We don't allow guns in the restaurant. Please leave."
