That is correct, along with knives and anything the secret service decides is a deadly weapon. Don't think you're going to get away with a collapsible baton or maybe even a tactical pen. IIRC there was some kind of screening but don't recall if it was full up empty your pockets or just wanding. I did not go in.

The knife rights organization usually has a booth were you can check your knife but there's nothing for firearms.

Last time was awesome! Looking at the schedule of seminars for 2023, they are going to have a lot of amazing speakers as well.

I hit two of John Correia's and one of John Lott's in Indy. Very good. I've been going since 2013 (volunteering since 2015) and there's always good seminars. Expect Dallas to be just as good.

I have not gone to the leadership conference because of the Secret Service requirement to disarm.

As I'm achieving senior old fart status I'll probably just do Indy (family there) and Texas ones now.
