And rename it "Ammo For Sale"...03Lightningrocks wrote:I think there are two ammo sale threads...LOL. The other one is a sticky. Maybe the mods can merge this one into that one.

Glad I could help!03Lightningrocks wrote:Wow...that is just nuts!!! The last 45 I bought at Wally World in January came out to about 15 dollars a box.It was the 100 count WWB and it was 29 and change. They only had 8 boxes and I bought them all. My buyers remorse just melted away... .

Re: Ammo Shortage?
I suppose the caliber would have been a good thing to mention...
It was a 100 round box of WWB in .45 ACP.

Re: Ammo Shortage?
I just checked the receipt, it was a typo... It was 41.99! The Wally World in New Braunfels is perpetually sold out of all ammo save .38 special and I am headed to the ranch this weekend and needed some ammo. Supply and demand at work. Sadly enough, Wally World and Academy are the only places to buy ammo 'round these parts, not including ranges.
I have started saving all my brass, I plan on starting reloading soon. Now to find bullets, primers and powder...

Re: Ammo Shortage?
I stopped at the Academy in Selma or Schertz last night, they had about 20 box of soft point Remington .223 on the rifle ammo shelf along with a few other pick over calibers. There were a few boxes of pistol ammo but not an abundance of anything. I picked up a 100 round WWB for 41.95.

Re: Ammo Shortage?
Same situation at the New Braunfels Wally World. The sporting goods cashier said if I wanted any .40 or .45 that I needed to call in the morning and come to the store before noon. All the inventory they do actually get in usually gets sold before noon.
