Re: Dove
We got the same lease that we had last year north west of New Braunfels. They flew decently in the morning and pretty poorly in the evening. I wound up with 2  and my stepdad shot his limit. I'm gonna cook 'em tonight on the grill for an appetizer. Lots more season to go and hopefully I'll fin...

Re: Super-small UPS
Same situation here... only my large office UPS has a way to silence the beep. All mine in the bedroom and closet's beep away without a way to mute it. There is always a way to mute a speaker... http://lh4.ggpht.com/_YhVEvpf8u3g/Spg73sJN0fI/AAAAAAAAAcI/46yBylykhjY/s144/screwdriver.jpg" http://...

Looking for a Dove Lease
Does anyone have a line on a season dove lease around the New Braunfels / Marion / Segiun area? I am looking for a place that can handle around 4-6 guns and is available at a reasonable price.

After every range trip, not necessarily immediately afterwords but with in a few days. The Kimber (carry weapon) gets an external wipe down and soaking with CLP ~weekly and a field strip approximately once a month with Hoppe's No. 9 and CLP.

Re: Printing is it an offense?
The other time, I was working in my yard and was carrying openly as I usually do, then the puppy gets out, and I chase him down. He's about 2 miles away when I finally catch him, realizing I'm open carrying as I do so. This is why I don't OC in the yard, I am not as discrete as usual when in the ya...

Re: For those of you who like a quiet PC
Yeah but what's the fun of that? I have 4 computers going in my closet right now that are only for crunching SETI@Home data :thumbs2: Me too, except mine are all scattered about the house. Once I get my ham shack / reloading room / computer room back :grumble , I will continue on my quest for inexp...

The only problem with this argument, is that there is no reasoning with these people. Losing his composure is definitely not the best thing that could have happened, but honestly a 72 yr old anything should know better than to throw an infantile tantrum on the side of the road. If she had a problem...

And yes he may have towered over her, however tactics the police are taught do not allow the use of "gentleness" in the case of the elderly or infirmed. Yes, one should default to good judgment and common sense in this case. If he had to take her down it would have been much worse for her...

I have been stewing on this for a few days so I will chip in my two cents. First, the deputy clearly lost his temper which is a strike against him. Losing your cool gets you nowhere fast regardless of your profession and is inexcusable in adults. While the woman was being ornery and I am not condoni...

Re: TN Legislature Overrides Gov on Restaurant/Bar Carry
All jocularity aside  I think this will be a good test case demonstration, at how badly the anti-gunners out there misjudged the CHL holder. And POOF! . Another anti-gun argument bites the dust. There will be no blood on the barstools, as they once said about the 'blood on the streets' argumen...

Re: Texas Processing Lunacy
Well, for one I shouldn't have to give anyone a reason why I want / need a CHL. Furthermore, I have lived in this area my entire life and despite my best efforts there are folks who don't like me, should they hold a position on the "gun board" I could probably kiss my chances of passing th...
