My Plastic arrived today also! Dps received on 7-30-09 and arrived in mail today 9-14-09. They must have hired more people for CHL applications.

DPS received my paperwork 7-30-09 and as of 9-11-09 mine was marked Application completed-certificate issued. WOW! What happened in Austin? I was not planning on this till November! Now I will see how long until the plastic arrives.

Ok, The person was looking for a 642. I only offered up an alternative to what he is looking for. I assume if this was off base a mod would have told me or scratched the post. No end run or foul intended.

Thanks for the input. I have never sold a gun this way. The buyer is from out of state and seems like a big gamble on his part to pay up front. I spoke to Jason in Benbrook and he explained the costs and the handling proceedure. Ya'll are right about him being a great guy to deal with. Very friendly...

Do the FFL's handle the payment of the gun as well or if not,
how is the safest way to not get ripped off on and out of state sale?

I have had one for over a year and it is not as hard to control as most snubbies I have fired. I carry 158 hardcast for the woods and they are stiff but controllable. Great gun for the price. IMO
