Critical Defense ammo, according to Hornady, is certain to pass through exterior clothing with it's expansion ability still intact. I figure any of the Critical Defense rounds is good for at least 3-6 inches of penetration after that. This may be higly effective ammo in .380ACP, .38 Special and 9mm at normal shooting encounter distances.

The RBCD is great stuff, problem is most who criticize have not shot it. buy a box- $40. for standard or $43.49 for TPD then: load a magazine one with your current favorite, then one RBCD until topped off. Then get two one gallon milk jugs full of water, then get two pieces of steel (roughly 3/8" thick) , then get two picnic hams ( I know-I know what a waste) then shoot each one....your new favorite will be RBCD... anyone saying there is not enough penetration needs to pay close attention. With todays ammo prices it is not that expensive...besides whats your life worth? Not convinced? well thats why we have Fords and Chevys!
