A full sized 1911 is just as concealable as any other pistol and conceals much easier than you may thing. As other's have said dress around the gun. Spend the money (if you are able) on a quality holster and a quality GUN belt. The belt makes all the difference. I'd suggest looking for a 7 hole belt instead of the typical 5 hole as it give more room for adjusting.

I had to let my CHL lapse due to financial reasons. When I carried I carried a full sized Springfield in an OWB Tucker holter. My belt is a Rafter S gun belt. No problem concealing it at all. The belt takes all of the weight.
