I am willing to give city slickers a pass on the whole "Assault weapon" thing. Being a city person, they cannot fathom a use for a semi-auto rifle like an AR or AK, and I bet that there is not a single place to legally shoot one in the 5 Boroughs anyway. So, unless they own a ranch out in the woods and spend time out walking around among potentially dangerous animals (both 2 legs and 4)... I can see how they feel that "no one needs an assault weapon". To me, it is how they adapt their attitude after hearing the pro-gun side of the argument. If Trump sat down with the NRA and was still against them, then I would be concerned.

One thing, I do not think that that the NRA sat down with Trump and showed him a pile of money and said "Change your tune and this is for you, don't change your tune and we will sink you."
