Re: The end of the road.

Also, for anyone referencing this thread, I was wrong about what I said on page 1.

If you have a Deferred Adjudication that a judge signs off on an order of non-disclosure, that qualifies as being "Vacated, sealed, expunged, set aside..." as far as the qualifications on 411.171. It DOES NOT matter if it was one of the permanently disqualifying crimes (such as the example here of burglary of a habitation)... if you petition the court and are granted an order of non-disclosure on your DA, then you are eligible for a CHL (so long as you meet all of the other qualifications).

A lot of minor felonies (did I just type "minor felonies"...) are eligible for an order of ND 5 years after you are discharged from your DA.

I have great news though. If you still have your Texas TR-100 form and an extra $117 you are 100% eligible for a Florida license that allows you to carry in Texas.

OR

You can see Linda at Crossfire training and get a Utah license for a little more than that (and you will have to take another class), this will also allow you to carry in Texas.

A deferred adjudication is a tricky deal in Texas, basically there is NOTHING that you can do to get a Texas CHL because you broke that one section of 30.02. and as far as I have been told, even an order of non-disclosure is not good enough and you do not qualify for the "sealed" or "expunged" loop hole because you were never CONVICTED of anything according to the CCP, only according to 411.1711.
I have sent the TR-100 to DPS already I wonder if they can give me a copy?

You should have one of the carbon copies (you were given one, it is just a matter of what you did with it) that is all that florida will need... just a photo copy of that carbon copy.
