You encounter all sorts of strange firearms policies which I suspect were written by people who know very little about firearms.
I talked to two armed security guards whose company required them to carry 30 rounds of ammo but restricted them to 10-round magazines. I knew that the standard capacity for their pistols' mags was 15 rounds. (I think they carried Beretta 92FS, but I don't remember for sure now.)
I asked why they don't carry two 15-rd mags instead of 3 10-rd mags.
They told me they were only allowed to carry 10-rounders.
I'm like, "Right. . . . :???: but, what does your company think they're accomplishing by requiring you to make two mag changes rather than one in order to fire the 30 rounds?"
And they were like :headscratch "Huh?"
