hhmm forgot about this thread....
My son decided to go ahead and get the 75b 9mm at Academy (not the sa), we paid $403 out the door for it, Fixed the mag brake in about 5 minutes using detailed directions he found on web somewhere, he prefers SA first shot so he competes in ESP....
and has the audacity to outshoot his poor halfblind dodder old father whenever we can get to an idpa match together.

I had already talked to the four shops listed on CZ USA site, carter's, fountain and tripod feeders in spring would have to order and wanted around $500 to $520 for SA.
Collector's has one in stock and want's $499.
Didn't know academy carried CZ....
Will post when I find best bargain.
He is pushing to get one listed at $440 on gunbroker but I explained that is basically same price when you add in shipping and ffl transfer and unless BIG discount I would prefer to spend locally.
we're looking for the SA because of the free fall mag, I think it would be better for IDPA... maybe I'm wrong
As for him having good taste, even though he shoots my 1911 as good as I do he wanted a 9mm ,not a 1911 9mm, no tupper ware or italians and thinks browning high powers are ugly (which endeared him to his mom who thinks the bhp is the prettiest gun)
