I agree about being around people with poor gun-handling skills, but I guess our difference of opinion is whether dropping a gun equates to poor gun handling skills. Obviously, the number of times it happened would be a major factor. If I drop a weapon for example on a Shooting Line, I would expect to be asked to leave.
I have concerns for my personal safety when I am around people with poor weapons handling skills, that in addition to the Trooper disarming my friend for just a minor speeding violation in which the Trooper was treated with the up most respect and courtesy.
Perhaps I am in the minority.
