Do you mean former Governor of Alaska Sarah Palin v. former Wharton County Republican Chairwoman Debra Medina? This is an apples to oranges comparison.

BTW, I'm not anti-Medina, I just don't support her for Texas Governor.

You have no idea how inaccurate this statement is.
Charles, I think we would all like to hear you elaborate on that.
I never should have posted that comment. I retract it.

C'mon Chas. This is a very important issue. If you have information, please share it with us. I certainly don't have the connections you do so I have to put faith in what I am being told by the candidate unless I can be shown otherwise OR they have a proven track record of not doing what they say.
My ill-advised comment was not based upon any hard evidence and I should have kept it to myself. There is no hidden meaning or hint and Medina supporters should not be deterred for fear that she does not support the Second Amendment. I will say this much, Rick Perry has a proven track record of supporting gun owners and this is why a TSRA/NRA grade based upon an elected official's record is more reliable that a candidates questionnaire alone. Talk is cheap, performance counts.

Re: Debra Medina

This thread is going to get locked if the "temperature" doesn't change. It's fine to discuss candidates, opinions and preferences, but I'm more than a little tired of seeing supporters of marginal candidates resort to insulting people who don't support their candidate.

If you can't offer an opinion without insulting opposing views, then keep it to yourself.

The reality? That is exactly the attitude that has us where we are, choosing between the lesser of two evils and furthering the power hungry machine; same song different verse. Perry is strong in CHL though he doesn't seem to want to change the climate making CHL an additional option but allowing the rest of us subjects to carry as well. The requirement of a CHL IS an infringement.

So by all means, let's not waste our votes in the primary. Let's not run the risk of letting the "more evil" ones have a chance. Let's all bet on the favorite and ensure four more years of imminent domain abuses, foreign levy's through toll roads and favored status to the pharmaceutical contributors foisting more and more dangerous medical practices on us in mandates...oh geez.

Hey, we'll still have our $150.00 privilege of CHL though.

Added in Edit: I'm so torqued right now I had to edit twice for typos

BTW, notice I haven't posted Hutchison's or the Governor's response? Because they haven't bothered to provide one.
I'm voting for Rick Perry because I want Rick Perry as Governor. I find it interesting when people with opposing views and who support unelectable candidates resort to the erroneous claims that voting for [fill in the blank] is voting for "the lesser of two evils." Medina is not qualified to be Governor; she is not nearly as pro-2A as you might believe; she is rather clearly a Libertarian and I don't agree with their very liberal stance on social issues. You can support her if you wish, but don't tell me I'm voting for the lesser of two evils.
