I was more than a little spooked last night. I converted from MySQL4 to MySQL5 and I didn't realize I had to upload and run a script to identify necessary database changes. (It took almost two hrs. to learn that on the phpBB website.) After doing that, I had to run a very long SQL query from phpMyAdmin and of course I had to figure out how to do that too. I had a backup database and I could have reconfigured the forum for the original MySQL4 database, but I really didn't want to have to do that since MySQL4 apparently isn't supported any longer.

For you talented folks, it would have been an easy upgrade; but for rank novices like myself, it was an adventure.
