I took the Utah CFP Instructor course last Saturday so I should be able to teach in about 3 or 4 weeks. They said they will send my instructor credentials in about 2 weeks. Then, I have to order an Instructor's stamp that will have my Instructor Number and expiration date on it and that should take another week or two to receive.
I'll let everyone know when I'm good to go.

Re: Utah instructor in Texas
I'll be taking the certification course on April 19th. I don't know if we leave with a certificate as you do with DPS, but I seriously doubt it. They don't take your application until you arrive at the class.pt145ss wrote:Thank you...much appreciated.NcongruNt wrote:http://handgunlaws.uspt145ss wrote:At one time i had access to a map of states on which one could click a state and it woud tell you what other states that permit was valid in. Can someone tell me where to find it?
I will be traveling to vegas in a few months and I want to determine which permit to get that will give me the most bang for my buck...no pun intended.
Any tips and important things about carrying in vegas would be greatly appreciated too.
Nevada does not yet have reciprocity with Texas. Utah licenses are honored there, so a Utah CFP would be useful if you want to carry in Vegas. The Nevada "off limits" page on the site above will give you a good list of the few places you aren't allowed to carry there.
Mr.Cotton...please let us know when you are able to give the class...thanks.
As soon as the certification comes in, I'll post a notice here.
