FWIW, I believe any canine can and will howl under the right stimulus.chabouk wrote:Coyotes don't howl, but: still. Yeah, that's a great piece of marketing. They should sell a bunch, if they only charge a small premium (about $50 over MSRP of the standard version).

Re: Texas gov. shoots, kills 'wily' coyote during jog
We hear them (yotes) on the South end of GV lake as well. Every now and then I'll see one in the park (Oak Grove), there's some deer and miscellaneous other small woodland creatures in there too. FWIW - my great dane HOOOOOWWWWWWLS like crazy......when an emergency vehicle with the sirens on goes by....I think he's "taught" the other dogs in the neighborhood how to do it....LOL

I cannot think of a BETTER time/place to carry than jogging - look at the news reports of females raped/robbed/assaulted while jogging. Many times the jogging trails are in a secluded/wooded area, lots of cover/place to hide/ambush. A Dallas cop buddy of mine used to moonlight working bike security on one of the popular running/jogging trails in the Dallas area (Katy Trail, I think?), hmmmm....wonder why he was there?

Though I understand the usual liberal mindset is that carrying a gun is bad, why do they find it especially egregious to carry while running? I just don't get it.
This e-mail did remind me to unsubscribe from his mailing list though.

Re: Texas gov. shoots, kills 'wily' coyote during jog
I was in Chicago last week for business. While driving around I sampled some of the local radio stations (the rental didn't have satellite radio, bummer!) and I heard the local DJ's talking about the AZ illegal immigrant law (and how they thought it was racist) and they even mentioned Gov. Perry and this incident (in a mocking way). These folks just don't get it.
