Tires are a consumable....unless they are on my truck....haven't bought a new set of tires in YEARS...but then again I never keep 'em that long
On my '17 Corvette Z06 I actually got over 14K miles on the OEM Michelin Pilot Super Sports...that's VERY good for those tires and that car (and me....well, mostly my wife drives "my car")...
They are being replaced tonight with a set of the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires...they are an AMAZING tire! If I get 5K miles out of them that will be a miracle! But the grip is INSANE! I'm used to ordering tires by the pallet for the race car with just a quick email to Pirelli so it was a bit of a pain in the rear finding these tires for my street car...a huge hassle actually...and then getting them installed....but such is life...1st world problems....
