Re: Best concise TX handgun laws for CHL?
I understand the law was changed regarding how long a Concealed License is good for here in Texas. It was extended. I went on line and found, after answering several regulation questions, I need a PIN# to sign in...something I don't have. If anyone here is a Texas resident and has renewed their lice...

Re: 10 Year License
Thanks for the qik reply, guys! Now it doesn't seem so bad. I'm grateful Texas finally saw the light 10 - 12 years back, however we could and should have a more unrestricted approach to, what I consider anyway, to be a right rather that a privilege. A lot of 1st time applicants find it difficult to ...

Re: 10 Year License
I don't like the idea of having to fork over $140 every 5 years for my Texas CHL. Taking the long, protracted class as well adds to my aggravation. I can see a background check after 5 years..that's fine, but I'd prefer laying out a smaller chuck of change. A computerized NICS review shouldn't take ...

Re: Caucus Count
Obama is a superb public speaker with limited experience. If he were to run as VP, that would give him 4 to 8 years to gather experience in the best way possible. That's all fine IF you're a Dem! I think of John McCain as a POW for all those years becoming President of the United States and I actual...

Amen to that! The old saying "Things ain't like they use to be" is all to true...but that does not make it good.

Caucus Count
Taking forever! From where I sit, it seems Big John will be going against Obama for all the marbles. If the Dems choose a Hillary/Obama ticket (or vice-versa) it will present a unique moment in history, but not a winning one for the Democrats. McCain's choice for VP will be very important. While in ...

Re: our new "Castle Doctrine"
This may have been covered, but I failed to see it. As of now, if you hold a CHL, you're not limited to just 1 concealed handgun on your person. You can carry more than one (page 64.."Texas Concealed Handgun Laws" issued by Texas DPS). What about your vehicle under the new "Castle Doc...

Re: MAJOR FACTOR IN GETTING TEXAS CHL
The good doctor was in Lubys with her Mom and Dad during the Killeen massacre. I should have given more background before posting the video. I believe the argument for CHL's on colleges would benefit from the dynamics shown twenty years ago when 23 people were killed for lack of an armed patron.

Re: MAJOR FACTOR IN GETTING TEXAS CHL
Dr. Susan Gratia's testimony was one (1) major reason we now have CHL. Of course, many worked day and night for this. I'm pointing out 1.

MAJOR FACTOR IN GETTING TEXAS CHL
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luby's_massacre Been around before, but good to watch every once in awhile. This was the woman who left her gun in her car when she went in to have lunch with her parents in Waco. Her testimony was a major factor in the Texas concealed carry law being passed. http://tiny...

Re: Pictures Of Your Daily Carry
Glad you're happy with your new baby! I'm still getting "use" to my KAHR P9. Being a Wheelman at heart, I am getting familiar with the dynamics before I use it as my carry weapon. You made a great choice and am glad it meets your expectations!
