I gave in and purchased the EOTech 516. I have it mounted and will try it out this weekend. I will post results.

I am still looking around. I have a hard time cutting loose with cash until I am sure of my purchase. I am now looking at a EOTech 516. It is a little less expensive than the 557 and the main difference is the reticle. The 516 has the 65 MOA circle and a 1 MOA dot. It is looking pretty good. I don't think I will do enough long range shooting to justify the higher expense of the .223 reticle.

Best of all it is good to get the opinions of the forum on a large purchase. No use re-inventing the wheel when someone else has already been there!!

Everyone, thanks for all the input. I think that I am leaning toward the EOTech 557 with the ballistic dots. I may even save up and get the swing away 3 power magnifier. It all comes down to the financing. From what I gather here and talking to others on the street, I do believe it is a Ford/Chevy (maybe a Cadillac/Lincoln) thing. I would love to have the ACOG sight, but wow I could buy more guns with that amount of cash.
Still not totally committed but close to the EOT.

Wow! The eotech sure looks better for field of view. This might be the way to go especially for the 3 gun. I might not miss so many targets!!

I am looking for the opinions of this group on which sight system to add to my AR. I shoot the 3 gun stuff so I need to shoot close quarters with some long range. I also have a flip up BUIS on the flat top rifle. I realize I will have to spend a lot of cash for either, but just want the best bang (haha) for my buck. I have never used any of these sights, only used iron sights and conventional scopes. I found some stuff on AR15.com, but would like to hear from the CHL Forum group.
