Thanks for the advice guys. In my search for info on the AR-15, I've come across the Sig556. I'm considering this as an alternative to AR-15. Can anyone tell me anything good or bad about that weapon vs. the AR? I know Sig makes a quality firearm, but would I be better sticking to a standard AR? TIA.

AR-15 recommendations
All,
As I no longer own any long guns
, I am going to purchase a new scattergun and an AR-15. I'd like some input as to what y'all recommend for the AR-15.
As far as brands, I'm considering Bushmaster, Smith & Wesson (M&P), Rock River, and DPMS. Do y'all have any other recommendations or reasons I should choose one over the other?
Any other advice you can give would be greatly appreciated. TIA!
