They say we want to wage a war on Christianity and Christian values: we don’t, that’s a lie. We want people of all religions to be able to practice and worship freely. This is a lie. Their mayors and governors are fining members of Christian churches and Jewish synagogues for attending worship services, but not the members of any other faiths who do the same. They also want to force people of faith to pay for abortions through their mandatory healthcare premiums, in direct violation of the tenets of their faith.....and that includes Judaism and Islam, in addition to Christianity. THAT is a DIRECT war on my values.

They say we want to get everything for free: we don’t, that’s a lie. We want to work hard and make sure that healthcare and education are affordable for all. This a lie. You have to pay higher healthcare premiums, so that someone else can get the same level of healthcare for less than you pay for it. And if you try to opt out of it, they fine you, and that money is used to buy healthcare for someone poor. By ANY definition, this is a transfer of wealth from the person who earned it, to the person who did not. It is theft, and it is "free" to the person who did not earn it.

They say we want a war against traditional marriage: we don’t, that’s a lie. We want people of all sexual orientations to be able to love freely, no matter who you love. This is a lie. Among the values of "traditional" marriage is autonomy over the values you teach to your children. Democrats are actively trying to remove that part of the control over what their children are taught to believe. Their schools have become indoctrination centers for those political forces whose values stand in direct contradiction to those of traditional marriages.......and this is true REGARDLESS of whether or not same sex marriages are a good or bad thing. ONLY ONE aspect of marriage is taught in public schools, and it ISN'T the traditional model. But even if that weren’t true, BY WHAT RIGHT do the schools have the authority to countermand the values taught in traditional households, when their purpose we're all told is to make our children prepared to compete in a global economy.....against children whose educations ARE more focused on the useful subjects that train children to be something other than service economy workers?

They say we want to destroy or rewrite history: we don’t, that’s a lie. We want to recognize the ugly parts of our past and do everything we can to say “that’s not okay, let’s not honor those aggressors, let’s not let those things happen again”. This is a lie. An example: Our schools were ALREADY teaching about the evils of slavery. We were ALREADY being taught that while Stonewall Jackson might have been a great General from a purely military perspective, he was fighting for an insupportable cause. We didn’t need to tear down his statue to know that. All over Europe, there are still statues of people who were judged harshly by history. Europeans are able to see beyond their parochial politics to understand that, even if these were bad people, their IMPORTANCE in a HISTORICAL CONTEXT is a valid reason for leaving these statues standing......because they are instructive for teaching/reminding Europeans how they got from point A to point B in their history. DEMOCRATS, on the other hand, aren’t satisfied to teach their version of history (written by the victors) to the children in their indoctrination centers, they want to remove from the public square any signs that the struggle ever existed, and who it’s important personages were. They are acting today exactly as the Soviets did when their revolution succeeded, and as the Taliban did when they blew up or otherwise destroyed any religious imagery/artwork/statuary from competing religions. EXACTLY the same! The next step is to start portraying those Confederates in textbooks with hooked noses, sharpened teeth, and scheming faces. They are categorically unable to see the larger picture.....the one in which men like Stonewall Jackson and General "Old Peter" Longstreet were honorable men who had honorably served their country (the USA) before the civil war started, who made difficult decisions to fight for their home state's right to determine its future, good, bad, or ugly, and who were brilliant tacticians who were much loved and respected by the men who served under them. Why? It’s because democrats, at their core, do not actually respect service. They only respect authority......whether or not it is legitimate or moral.

They say we want to take away your constitutional rights: we don’t, that’s a lie. We choose to believe science and wear masks and try to prevent the spread of this disease. This is a lie. The first and second amendments are constantly under assault from the democrat party. Their attacks on gun rights and church gatherings are impossible to ignore. It is a lie that only democrats are wearing masks. It is a lie that only democrats believe science. What IS true is that people who are NOT democrats are far more likely to question the need for a thing before deciding to comply with it or not......ANY thing. This is called the exercise of judgment and discernment, and it is a trait that is GLARINGLY absent on the left.
