Don't worry about the ones that there's a paper trail for. There's plenty of room at the bottom of Grapevine lake next to mine, not to mention that guy Joe who bought the rest of them. He was kind of nondescript looking. It was legal at the time.

Re: What Last Preparations Have You made For the Inevitable?

I've been buying ammo, food, and medical supplies all along. The last few days, I got back to reloading match and hunting ammo. But let's be honest....while it is wise in the mind to be prepared for war, we should have our hearts set on being prepared for peace.

Personally, I pray as much for the wisdom and guidance of the Spirit even more than I do for the physical means of defense. God has seen fit to give me enough resources to make a fairly modest investment in preparation, but not enough to buy whatever I want, whenever I want it. By making smaller purchases over time, never more than 1,000 rounds at a time in any one caliber, I've accumulated a few thousand rounds of ammo in various calibers - the largest part of it in 5.56, but also at least 2000 in .308, 3000 in 9mm, and .and maybe 1000 45 ACP. But while it looks like a lot of ammo when stored in numerous ammo cans on my storage shelf......and this is something you should ALL be thinking about....it is really only enough to either 1) fight a few pitched firefights, or 2) put meat on the table for my family for the next couple of decades, but not both.

One has to be a wealthy man to prepare for a real war, and I'm not that wealthy. Consequently, there is at least as much value in accumulating relationships with sober-minded, intelligent, and gracious people who have the same assessment of the future, as there is in stockpiling materiel. Strategy requires colaborers, otherwise all you have is tactics. Tactics may win a fight, but it won't win a war. So I have consciously and deliberately sought to build a network of relationships with like-minded people, which to me, is as important as the material preps.

And all of this includes spiritual preparation and maintenance. There will be a role to be played for a good chaplain in all of this.
