For the record, my own comment was neither yay or nay. I was just making a possible observation for what it was languishing.Charles L. It is begging for a fight if they pass it. Maybe that isn't something they want to spend any political capital on passing.mojo84 wrote:In actuality, I'm not sure if the republicans want it to come up either.

Re: Campus Carry revived, attached to open carry
I've sent an email message for my representative, the one who called me a couple of months ago and explained why he supported Strauss over Turner in the record vote for Speaker. I asked if he couldn't suggest to Strauss that:
- Since he supported Strauss, now it was perhaps Strauss's turn to support him in return.
- This is the time for Strauss to be a statesman and put his ego aside for the interest of Texas voters at large.
- If Strauss cannot be a statesman, support the representatives who supported him, and support the voters ahead of his own ego, that perhaps my representative should withdraw any future support for Strauss.

Sounds like good way to kill both open and campus carry. At this point, I have almost zero faith in the legislature to do the right thing.Maxwell wrote:I was thinking the same thing...WildBill wrote:This sounds like a good way to kill open carry.
