Re: 1,000 Range
BTW, tbond75 asked for ranges within driving distances of Denton Co. My friend who just joined ETTS lives in Corinth, so he's almost to Denton, and he likes ETTS. Something to think about.....

Re: 1,000 Range
Tacpro has a 1,000 yard range, but it requires membership to use it. I shot there once. Non members can shoot at the separate 100 and 200 yard ranges. Only members and their guests can shoot at the 1,000 yard range. That range is set up kind of differently. Instead of having one firing line and multiple target berms at varying distance, there is a single target berm with firing lines at 200, 300, 400, 500, and 1,000 yards back from the single berm. Shooters at the 500 yard line have to take turns trading off with the 1,000 yard guys, or they would be shooting over the top of your head.
Here is a picture I took at the 500 yard line at Tacpro, looking toward the target berm. The 1,000 yard line was behind me:

ETTS has a 1,200 yard range - http://www.extremetacticsandtrainingsolutions.com/. I haven't shot there yet, but a friend of mine joined there recently and seems to really enjoy it.
