I don't let them get away with deafening silence any more. I call my friends on it, right then and there, and I force them to tell me that EITHER they were wrong and they misunderstood the liberal position, OR to admit that YES, they want to take my guns, and at last they feel free to be honest about it.SQLGeek wrote:I have an anti-gun acquaintance who likes to breathlessly say that "nobody is trying to take your guns!". I find that it is a dandy friend-filter. You find out rapidly then whom you can trust, and whom you cannot. The ones I cannot trust are no longer my friends, and they become relegated to "acquaintances".
