I guess she saw the dissatisfied group of gun people and now hopes to divide and conquer.
Quoting that article:
Rising Democratic star and gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis has joined her top Republican rival in supporting a proposed "open carry" law. It would allow people with concealed handgun licenses to wear a pistol on their hip, in full view, while in public.
The phrase "has joined her top Republican rival" means that HE was already in favor of it, and she his riding his shirttails on this issue.......not because she favors OC, but because she sees it as a winning cause which will make her seem more centrist.

In the meantime, she gets along famously with Joe Strauss and other politicians who will make sure that OC will never get to her desk for signature if she's elected.......so there is no risk of her having to violate whatever she has that passes for principles.

It sends chills up my spine knowing that the current administration took an active interest in Wendy. I do not want this admin's cronies in Texas planting seeds. Keep Texas for Texans! :txflag:
I would never vote for anyone (nor would I admire anyone) based on gender. To do so is the very definition of sexism.
Much like what happened in 2008 and 2012........ except its racism rather than sexism. One should NEVER vote for a person for any reasons other than their policy positions and experience. Otherwise, we get an Obama or a Davis.
