When I bought mine, gun prices were quite a bit higher due to the political environment at the time. I bought it at Academy in Grapevine, and I believe I paid $699.00 for a Bi-Tone. The black version was $649.00. I went to Academy because, at the time, BassPro was selling the same pistols for $699.00 (Black) and $749.00 (Bi-Tone). I believe they have come down in price quite a bit now, although BassPro still lists the 9mm black version at $699.00.Jose_in_Dallas wrote:Eventually I would like to own bothThe Annoyed Man wrote: You'll probably find a better price on the Glock 19 than on the Springfield. Don't tell any of my friends on the forum, but I've actually carried my wife's Glock 19 a couple of times in the past week. But my EDC is the XDM 3.8 .45 Compact, and it carries very well. I just now went and weighed both guns, each one with a loaded magazine, one in the chamber, and a spare magazine. The G19 came in at 2 lb, 6-3/4 oz, carrying 31 total rounds of Speer 124 grain Gold Dots. The loaded weight of the XDM 3.8 .45 came in at 3 lb, 1/4 oz, carrying 23 total rounds of 230 grain Federal HST. I want the Glock 19 for the lighter package as you have shown. And to diversify my calibers in case I have trouble finding .45 ACP. I've seen CDNN have the Glock 19 for a very reasonable price, a little above and below $500 depending on if I want a Gen 3 or 4. What did you pick up your XDm for if you don't mind me asking?

Just curious but what did you buy your XDm for? Only place I've seen it consistently at is Bachman Pawn and Gun for $684 last I checked. Buds has them for $580-590 online. Never dealt with an FFL transfer before so I'm leaning towards local. So what's a good deal for one?

I have the bi-tone version of the same gun, and it is my favorite double stack .45. It is also by far the softest shooting .45 I own. You're going to be surprised at the recoil characteristics.
