According to this article Obama co-sponsored a bill to strengthen Stand Your Ground when he was an Illinois state Senator.

That was before the courts forced Illinois to start obeying the Constitution just a teensy bit vis-a-vis guns and concealed carry. So naturally Obama thought that a man had a right to stand his ground.......armed with a wagging finger and a stern look. Nancy Pelosi recently articulated Obama's real position on guns and SYG more accurately: "we have to destroy the Constitution to save it."
