Yes, people do........even members of this board.......jmra wrote:You're telling me people actually watch ch13?
I don't. I stopped watching PBS and listening to NPR when the constant onslaught of sneaky attacks against everything I hold dear did nothing but drive my blood pressure up. I have never once, not ONCE ever heard or seen a truly balanced presentation on PBS/NPR. I'm not asking for or expecting them to be conservative only. I recognize that, as partially taxpayer funded institutions, all viewpoints must be represented. I just want balance.
But we'll never get it, because major contributors to PBS/NPR/CPB are organizations which are dedicated to the eradication of the 2nd Amendment....

http://www.pbs.org/foundation/donor-recognition/: Google any of the names on this list followed by "gun control," for instance "Ford Foundation Gun Control" and you'll find that overwhelmingly, all of these major donors give to anti-gun advocacy.
It doesn't take much Google-Fu to make the case that the nation's public broadcasting propaganda network is funded by a blend of taxpayers who don't even realize they're supporting it, large private entirely leftist foundations, and subscriber donations from people who are mostly leftist themselves which is why they watch it.
I don't even particularly care if they are all communists, as long as I am not compelled to support them with my taxes. The fact is, they don't need my taxes to stay on the air; but it is politically important to them that government maintains a stake in it because the government connection lends an aura of legitimacy to their propaganda. Without that connection, they are just another MSNBC.
