Well, you mentioned the MK9 in your original post, and it is exactly the same size as the PM9. So is the CM9 you mentioned. Of the three, the MK9 is the heaviest, being steel framed. The PM9 and CM9 are nearly identical in weight. I own a PM9 and a CW45. My wife owns a CW9. The "M" series pistols aren't really any harder to shoot than the "W" series. I compare the felt recoil and controllability of firing my PM9 to being about the same as shooting my 3" Kimber 1911—noticeably stout, but not at all unmanageable or painful. It is true that the CW9's grip gives you a little more to hold onto, and that is a small improvement in shootability. But the PM9/CM9 pistols are still not hard to shoot, and they are noticeably easier to conceal, so the tradeoff isn't that hard to make if that's the direction you decide to go in.ITRY2FLY wrote:I havent shot any of the short frame 'M' models just have a hard time holding them with a floating pinkie. May consider one but would really need put a few rounds through one first.

Have you considered a PM9?
