Yeah, you're right. I was certainly freaked out when it happened to me. I had probably had my CHL not more than 6 months when that happened to me. But as you continue to carry every day and get used to the idea of it, it becomes second nature and you sort of stop worrying about what other people think about it.....because you discover that they just don't think about it at all. They are in Condition White.rp_photo wrote:And most CHL's, especially newer ones like me, tend to be hyper-aware of such things. The Annoyed Man wrote:I suspect that you could probably have dropped your gun and nobody would have noticed it. Re: Loaded magazine briefly exposed
I left a magazine and its carrier on the floor of a coffee shop. Got all the way home and discovered it missing, called the shop and told the guy "I think I might have left something....er.....unusual on the floor behind where I was sitting." He said, "I've got it. Just come and get it."
I drove right back (just a few blocks from my house) and walked up to the counter with a sheepish grin on my face. Didn't have to say anything....the guy grinned back and handed me the mag carrier with the mag in it.
That guy works in the local Apple store now. I chatted him up once when I was in there and reminded him of it. He said that a customer had found it on the floor and turned it in to him. Not more than 15 minutes had passed between when I dropped it and when I retrieved it. I don't know how many other people in there that day saw what happened or knew anything about it—I a semi-regular patron—but nobody ever gives me weird looks or anything when I walk in.
