Re: Brady Campaign VS Rick Perry

Slightly off topic, but here is another reason to not trust Romney:

Carter: I Would Be ‘Very Pleased’ to See Romney Win GOP Race
Published September 16, 2011 | FoxNews.com
Fox News
Former President Jimmy Carter says he would be "very pleased" to see Mitt Romney as the GOP presidential nominee -- an endorsement that the former Massachusetts governor hasn't yet embraced as he seeks to win over conservative primary voters.

Apparently, not a thing: http://www.bradycampaign.org/search/?q=mitt+romney

That search returns 0 results on their website. Since they tend not to report on the positive (from their viewpoint) and hyperventilate about the negative (again, from their viewpoint), that is sort of telling. Apparently, Romney doesn't have a recored in favor of the RKBA. If he did, he'd show up on that search.

Edited to add:

I did a little fact checking of my own on Romney: http://www.ontheissues.org/governor/Mit ... ontrol.htm:
Top Romney Flip Flops: #3. Gun Control:
Campaigning for the Senate in 1994, Romney said he favored strong gun laws and did not “line up with the NRA.” He signed up for “lifetime membership” of the NRA in August 2006 while pondering a presidential run, praising the group for “doing good things” and “supporting the right to bear arms.”
That's just the beginning..... In January of 2008, he said:
I do support the Second Amendment. I would have signed the assault weapon ban that came to his desk. I said I would have supported that and signed a similar bill in our state.
There's more of the same. That kills it for me. He'll never get my vote.

Re: Brady Campaign VS Rick Perry

Brady Bunch wrote:His belief that it’s commendable, and seemingly necessary, for Americans to carry guns with hollow point bullets and laser sights in the course of routine activities, such as jogging. “Texans, on the other hand, elect folks like me. You know the type, the kind of guy who goes jogging in the morning, packing a Ruger .380 with laser sights and loaded with hollow-point bullets…..” Perry explained in his book, Fed Up!
Hollowpoints! LASERS!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!
