I own an M&P 45, and like anybody else, I am price conscious when it comes to practice ammo. But, there is a point beyond which I will not go. I'll buy Fiocce, Monarch (made by Prvi Partisan, and I will only buy the brass cased ammo), WWB, Magtech, UMC bulk packs, whatever I can get my hands on. But, I will not buy Wolfe ammo, and I won't buy any other brand that is steel cased. This is a prejudice of mine going back to AR15 ownership and repeatedly seeing 5.56 NATO cases from Wolfe ammo get stuck in other folks' AR15 bores, causing much grief to their owners.OdysseyPrime wrote:Wow! I just purchased my M&P and planned to run everything possible through it.... But now I may be marking out Wolf ammo.
The way I see it, if Academy is charging 14.95/box of 50 for Monarch 230 grain ball, and they are also selling Wolfe 230 grain ball for 12.95/box of 50, I might be saving a grand total of maybe 6 bucks for 150 rounds of ammo, but I might also be spending about 100 hours of my time trying to fix the damage done to my firearm by cheap ammo. I know what my time is worth, and $6 won't cover it.
