It's belt mounted, but it would easily fit in a pocket.

Re: I just bought a new (used) Kahr PM9

Well, I just took The Annoyed Woman to the range at Bass Pro today to try the PM9. She liked it so much that, when we left there, I took her over to Euless Guns & Ammo where she bought herself a CW9. Then we ordered her a holster like mine, a backup magazine, and a mag carrier for it.

I'm in trouble now.

Re: I just bought a new (used) Kahr PM9

I ordered and received an OWB holster and mag carrier from Kahr which came in today....picture below:

The holster was $75.00, and they had the left handed one in stock. They are made by Mitch Rosen, and are from their "Express" line. The G&G single magazine carrier was $28.00 and also in stock.

I included several objects to give a sense of scale. First, the gun itself is tiny and flat. Anyone who has held one for the first time has probably been surprised that a functioning, well-made, 9mm pistol could be made so small for prices well under the cost of a Rorbaugh.

The cellphone is a HTC Incredible. The knife is a CRKT M21-14DSFG, and is 5.25" long when closed. The other object is my TDL/CHL holder, which is barely larger than a credit card. Hopefully this will help to convey how diminutive the whole gun/holster/magazine/carrier package is. I strapped this thing on a little while ago, and it really is nearly invisible. It does not print at all. Not even a tiny bit.

The holster is very well made. Being from the "Express" line, it doesn't have all the tiny little touches of a custom made holster, but the lines are clean, the stitching is straight, the finish has no blemishes, the boning is well done, and it fits the gun well. There is no retention device, but retention is very good none-the-less and is accomplished by a very good fit, with good indenting in the trigger area. The color is alleged to be "Havana Brown." Here is a picture of the color from the website:

As you can see, the holster I received is considerably darker than the one portrayed on their site. It is still a good color, but it is a tad darker than I had hoped for.

The magazine carrier is tiny also. It was available in tan or black. I went for tan. It has an adjustment screw to adjust the retention. It is fairly well made with a distinct "mass produced" feel to it.

Both the holster and mag carrier are made to fit 1-1/2" belts. I am pretty happy with my purchase. AustinRealtor was kind enough to give me a left over Desantis Nemesis (the newer style) for pocket carry, and that works real well, but this holster gives me an additional option. I would recommend this holster to anyone who wanted a well made holster for a PM/MK/CM9, who doesn't have to have something custom made. And for you lefties, they actually have them in stock.

I've ordered a fix for that problem from Kahr Arms—a magazine holder, which another poster in this thread suggested as the cure. With the magazine stuffed into the holder, base upwards, that top round can't move or go anywhere. End of problem.

Re: I just bought a new (used) Kahr PM9

Well, I went to DPC and ran 100 rounds through my PM9 this afternoon. I really like this gun! It operated without any failures, and it was fairly accurate for such a short little pistol. I shot it both one handed and two handed. My seat of the pants impression of the recoil impulse was that it was no worse than shooting my 3" Kimber—a heavier and more powerful gun.

I was very favorably impressed with my purchase, and I will likely start carrying it.

My gun already appears to have a SS guide rod. I don't know if it came in the gun or if the previous owner upgraded it.

I have this one and it does a great job of hiding the outline of the gun. It looks like a wallet in my pocket and costs less money. I have had it for three years and it works great.

That does look nice, but they don't seem to offer a left handed version, and it doesn't look ambidextrous.
Yes, it is abidextrous. The flat flap is attached by velcro so can be put on either side of the holster and can also be moved higher or lower for the best concealment.
Cool!

Re: I just bought a new (used) Kahr PM9

Well I can't wait until I can get it to the range. Austinrealtor has kindly offered to send me his left over Desantis Nemesis that he had for his PM40, so I'll be able to carry it soon.

A range report will follow in a few days.

I just bought a new (used) Kahr PM9

As the title says, I just sprung for a used Kahr PM9 Black with Night Sights.

I haven't taken pictures yet, but the pictures from the website listing where I found it are attached below. The gun is used and it was purchased from S&R Sales and Pawn in Balch Springs. The condition is very good. There is very slight holster wear on the slide release lever, but the rest of the gun is virtually flawless. I would call it at 99%. The night sights are still bright. Total round count is unknown, but the sales clerk told me he took the gun in trade from a friend of his, and he is fairly certain that the round count is fairly low. It came with the original case containing the gun, a 6 round magazine, a 7 round magazine with extension, and a trigger locking mechanism. The original operating instructions booklet was included. They were asking $599.00 for this pistol and I pointed out that Kahr does not extend the warranty when the pistols are resold and offered $550.00. He accepted that price.

I called Kahr Arms and asked if they could give me the date of manufacture from the serial number. The guy there told me that it was manufactured in December of 2004, so it was probably first purchased around 6 to 6.5 years ago.

Anyway, I've got what I was looking for—a single stack pocketable 9mm semiauto. My wife agreed that it would probably fit in her purse very well, so I'm going to have to save up to buy another one, I imagine.
