I would not unnecessarily give the officer a reason to divert his attention to you. As stated above, only if asked for ID, do you have to present the CHL.

If, for whatever reason, as a passenger, I was being asked to get get of the vehicle and the handgun was not real well concealed, I would possibly verbalize first that I had the license (and avoid pointing or using the word "gun" if stating its location).

However, unless there is a possibility the LEO might see the handgun (or a strong "print') before he sees the license, I'd just sit tight, not make any significant movements and keep my mouth shut.
