Re: One more reason to avoid Academy
I used my phone on August 15 while in Oklahoma to order super combo license from TPWD. When I returned to Texas a week later, it was in my mailbox. It also included (without my asking for it) the free Sandhill Crane endorsement that I ordered later last year.

Re: Shots fired at Trump!?!
"Clay Martin has some very impressive credentials. SOTIC is a premier sniper school." This appears to be click bait, using the circumstances to get some attention. I could be wrong, but it sounds like the first 8 shots came from the kid's AR, then #9 (from a SWAT guy on the ground?) may ha...

Re: Shots fired at Trump!?!

Re: Shots fired at Trump!?!
A few hours ago, I read a headline for an article in the Washington Post that indicated a local cop took a shot at the kid and interrupted his shooting. It's one of those "subscription only" things, which I do not do. Hopefully, another news outlet will follow up on that. Also, I am still ...

Re: LTC 104
Thankfully, I have copies (partially completed) of the LTC-100. And a private class on April 27. In reseaching the DPS web site, I found NO way to print an LTC-100. So, it appears anyone who needs one before May 1 could be up the proverbial creek ......

Re: Can the USPS get any worse?
Guy I trust mailed a check to me from Lewisville (next town over) on Feb. 11. Still have not received. Similar has happened before and it eventually arrived in plastic bag and damage to envelope. I mailed a drawing from Flower Mound on Saturday to a banner making outfit in California. They got it an...

Re: Juiceland in Lakeway TX: I don’t think so
OP Quote: "I don’t usually open carry but I think I’ll be making a visit soon." While their signage is not necessarily compliant, it is certainly not "illegal". That signage appears to be a convenient way of politely informing people up front of various behaviors they don't want ...

Re: North American mag
I have had one with 1 5/8" barrel for at least 25 years. If carried or handled very much, I can atest to the fact that you WILL drop it. As mentioned above, those safety notches are very important. A trim carpenter was showing his new one to me when I asked if he had read the manual. He replied...

It's a cool sport, but quite spendy. They use the gunpowder to burst balloons, which keeps spectators alive.

My 20" Rock River has a 1:9 twist. I've been pleased with groups of (primary load) 64 grain Winchester Power Point.
