Re: Reasonable attempt to conceal

I've learned some valuable lessons on the forum and I'd like to share a few tips with you. I too have a barrel of holsters collecting dust, but I wouldn't if I had known this first: "gun belts" make all the difference in the world. Try using the search feature on the forum and you'll see what I mean. Basically, they look like "regular" belts but they are super-stiff (I think they have kevlar inside them) The stiffness helps distribute the "support" around your waist. Combined with a proper IWB holster, (which for me is a Minitaur - kydex holster with leather backing and a "belt-clip" on each side) the setup allows me (5'6, 165lbs) to comfortable pack a Glock 30 (a chunky "chopped frame" double stacked mag. .45acp - pretty much a brick). Of course I bought pants with extra room for the gun. I'm very active when performing my job (lifting arms way up, squatting, running, but also having to sit for lengthy periods at times).
I owe the members a lot of thanks for this information and I hope this saves you the time and trouble so many of us have gone through.
If you decide to try it out, please let us know how it works out. Good luck!
