Re: The thread where we thank Mr. Cotton
I read a lot and post very little, but thanks are cerainly in order to Mr. Cotton. I have learned much about the Texas legislative process in the past few weeks. Charles is a great instructor. He is also a statesman, which is what is so lacking in our politics at all levels.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: New Alien Gear Cloak Tuck 2.0
I just got my Cloak Tuck 2.0 last Saturday. Easily the most comfortable and concealable holster I have used. I ordered J Clips to wear with dress clothes only to find they were not in the package. I called and was told they would send some out in the next few days. I got an email confirmation that t...

Re: How bad it is in Massachusetts
Yep, MA is that bad. My son has been there for the last three years at college. Pepper spray does require a permit. Knives, bigger than nail clippers, will land you in jail. Guns. Fugettaboutit!. However, walk down Commonwealth Ave and you can get a contact high in a couple blocks. Don't leave your ...

treeman-Yes it does not like limp wrists. I had not shot mine in a while due to the lack of .380 ammo. The first magazine was bad. Then I realized it was me and it ran perfectly.

Re: My "Free" Gun
I have had one for several years. It is my carry when in dress clothes and as a quick "throw in the pocket" pistol with cargo pants or shorts. It has been absolutely reliable. Congrats on acquiring a great little carry piece.

Could also be very effective against Islamo-Terrorists.03Lightningrocks wrote:OK... the chase for a "magic bullet" is just getting stupid. Who buys into this garbage????
I want a round that fires bacon out the barrel. When the BG stops to eat the bacon, I will run away.

That's weak. He needs at least two more optic sights and one of them needs to be mounted on the side of the receiver. Amateurs!

Re: Your Longest Shot
How in the world you can shoot at 400 yrds/m with Iron sight??!!!  The standard USMC Known Distance (KD) course of fire includes shots at 500 yards with a standard M16 and those who are issued M-4s shoot them at that distance. Those quals are done with iron sights. I have shot, and h...

Re: ammo on sale
I stopped by Gander Mountain today. It is a very nice store, but their prices are crazy high. They had plenty of 9mm Blazer Brass. It was in 350 round boxes and were priced at 119.99. That's over $17 per 50. I know the market is tight, but that is a bit steep for cheap practice rounds. I perused the...

Re: Got Over Fear of Carry with One down the Pipe
Wow, just wow. Not even a Glock will go bang without the trigger being pulled. It just won't happen. Snag on draw? Pulling a pistol from a holster would have all of the forces moving in a direction that would push the trigger forward. Dropped and going bang. That's been well covered. Falling out of ...

That HK4 looks like a great little pistol. The interchangeability of caliber is fascinating and well ahead of its time.

Re: AR scope
An AR will shoot well out to 100 yds with iron sights. The Marine Corps standard rifle quals start at 200 yds. Sight it in and it will shoot better than you can.alvins wrote:Accually i was thinking about just using the iron sights and see what happens.

Re: Letter to Governor Rick Perry
Pacifist-I agree with most of what you said. On balance, I think Perry is a fine governor. The best thing is he doesn't try to rule, he governs. It makes very few waves and frankly that is the way it should be. That being said, if there is a suitably conservative challenger who will move some of the...
