The closest range to you is Hot Wells (Barker Cypress and 290). It's not the best, but it's close and about $7 per gun for all-day shooting. Shiloh is also supposed to be a great range, and MAYBE an additional 5miles further than hot wells (in a different direction). It's a little more expensive, but indoor, air conditioned, and I've heard the staff is superb.

I think the best area to live near there (Where I live) is Fairfield. They have houses from 150 - 1 million and some of the best schools. Of course, I'm sure I'm a little biased. :)
