Re: collectors firearms suppressors
I just bought a suppressor at the end of Dec from Tactical Firearms. I bought the AAC SDN-6. I felt like they had a really fair price, and they made it SO easy for me. I just had to give them the information for the trust (name, beneficiary, trustees, etc). They created the trust and gave me the tru...

Re: First deer with my daughter
Thanks guys! She's 3 1/2yrs old. Gotta start them early!! :) I've hunted in east Texas all my life, but just recently switched to west Texas (near Mason, TX) last year. Although this won't be the biggest buck taken this year, it's definitely the biggest I've ever seen. 11pt weighing in at 160lbs.

First deer with my daughter
This is the first deer I've shot with my daughter in the stand. Normally she's all wiggly, kicking the stand to make a noise, going to the bathroom every 10 minutes, talking loudly because she's bored, etc. This time she's learned to move slowly, talk quietly, and be patient (Although she can't do t...

Katy Mills not properly posted?
Am I correct in understanding that the signs at the entrance to Katy Mills mall are invalid? They cite an incorrect statute, which doesn't appear to comply with the Texas Penal Code 30.06. Texas 30.06 states the following: (A) a card or other document on which is written language identical to the fo...

Re: Northwest Houston?
The closest range to you is Hot Wells (Barker Cypress and 290). It's not the best, but it's close and about $7 per gun for all-day shooting. Shiloh is also supposed to be a great range, and MAYBE an additional 5miles further than hot wells (in a different direction). It's a little more expensive, bu...

Re: Laser Grips
I have the lasergrips on my bedside gun (Sig 229) and love them! Whenever my wife or I take the gun to the range we turn the laser off and don't use it (Except to check it's alignment). The way I see it, you might never need the laser. But then, there could be some significant tactical advantages to...

Re: calling all XD fans...
I recently purchased an XD40 for $419 brand new at a gunshow about a month ago. I LOVE the gun. I still intend to have a trigger job done, and night sights installed, but I haven't done it yet. I don't like the trigger pull on the gun as it stands right now. This is the first polymer pistol I have e...

Re: reloading supplies
The one on 290 and 1960 does, but it's VERY expensive. Probably 15-20% more expensive than Carter's Country on I10.striker55 wrote:Anyone know if Gander Mtn sells bullets for reloading?

Re: Quick Question
True, but you could get hassled for not showing it, and make the officer nervous in the process...AEA wrote: But I would add that you are only required to present your CHL if you are in fact carrying at the time. Otherwise, DL or State ID is fine.

Gunsmith in Houston
I just recently purchased a Springfield XD40. I need to get some nightsights installed on it, and have a trigger job done. This is going to be a CCW, so I don't want a competition trigger, I just want it lightened a little bit, and have most of the travel taken out (There is probably a full 1" ...
