I used to have one - great gun. I don't think you could go wrong with any modern pumpAn old beat up Winchester Defender..
or semi in good condition. I think in the past it was felt autos weren't reliable enough for
defensive use, but I don't think that's the case anymore. While typical police issue has
generally been 870 pumps, I *think* the US military is now issuing semi-autos. (can anyone
confirm that?)
I think the more important issue is you don't want a 30" goose barrel for home defense :-)
