The Deputy took me on my word for having insurance, told me I should slow down and asked if I was still in the military (Lackland AFB address on IDs). No mention or care of the CHL or weapon. Didnt even leave my window before he told me to have a good day. Shortest Traffic Stop in history for me. All in all a good contact, concidering how he could have easily (and rightly) made my life not so great at that moment.

That was a courteous officer. Must have been having a good day. Most officers I know would give you a ticket for no insurance, and what you could do is have it dismissed by proving you were in fact insured at the time you were pulled over. Some I've had the misfortune to be pulled over by will warn you for the insurance and write a ticket for speeding, when they might have had mercy (<10 over has netted me a warning more often than not if they even bother) if you had been able to provide all the papers.
