Okay, in fairness to Ryan, he didn't put the CHL Dancer on here, I did. I'd like to reserve this one for guys and gals who just received their CHL's and are leaving the "waiting room."

Scary part is that I DID dance once I opened it..... :) :)

Surprise.......

I wrote:Been calling since late April, told that they are waiting on FBI, unknown issue, unknown time to resolve, just waiting. All other paper work is completed. My next call is Tuesday, as I call every Tues..... :) :)
Was just about to make my weekly call as today is day 95, but my wife brought me an envelope with a little plastic ID card in it. :) :) As we Aggies say, WHOOP!!!! Funny thing is that the website still has "Processing Application" listed for me. Oh well, don't care what the website says, I have it now.

Here's a summary of my fun:
  • Packet Mailed --- Feb 7, 2006
    Packet Received by Austin --- Feb 10, 2006
    PIN Received --- March 9, 2006
    Day 60 --- April 11, 2006
    "License Issued-certificate active" date: --- ???
    Your receipt in mail date: --- May 16, 2006

    Total Number of days (2/10-5/16) --- 95
So, thanks for all the memories in the "waiting room", but now someone can have my seat. It's little worn, but comfortable. :)

Re: record wait?

Kalorg = 120 days
Lrb111 = 131 days
I'm gaining on both of you, but hopefully I won't catch you. I'm at 91 today, with no issues, nothing returned, no addition information requested, just 91 days of "Processing Application"........ :(

Congrats to all the 60-80 day people. It's been so nice watching you enter the waiting room and leave before me. :grin:

Are there any other 80+ people like me still hanging around in the waiting room? I'm at day 83. When I called today, I talked to a very nice person who reasearched and determined that I'm only waiting on the FBI response. She stated that there is a backlog of forms going to and coming from the FBI, so this may be causing some delays.

Oh well, the waiting is starting to hurt my butt. Hopefully I won't have to wait too much longer..... :(

Website just showed this, whooooo hooooo, I'm at day 64. Guess I'll probably get in the mail on Monday. :lol:

Guess there's an open seat in the waiting room if anyone needs it.
Yup, the RedRaider wins, this Aggie is still waiting at day 76...... :sad:

RedRaider wrote:While we all patiently waiting, I just thought I'd ask, how many times a day do you check to see if your status has changed on the website. I think I check atleast 10 times. I guess I should remove the word patiently from my first sentence.
Once a day until I reached day 55, then it was twice a day minimum, morning and late afternoon. But, If I'm bored, I'll check for the heck of it. :grin:

Seems the current average is 4 weeks, so since you're beyond that, I'd call them.

Welcome to the room. I've kept my seat warm for 67 days now. Hopefully they will call my name soon. :)

Called, finally got a human on the line, was informed that even though I was past the 60 day period, that they are running behind on processing paperwork, and to be patient. :roll:

Hmm, I'll have to remember that the next time I get a traffic ticket. "Yes Your Honor, I understand I'm past the 30 day period, but I'm running a little behind on my paperwork, so you need to be patient." :cool: :cool: :cool:

Great news, less than 60 days, wow. But what about me? :)

My timing was very close to yours, until the "completed" part. :) My packet was received on Feb 10, 2006, I received my PIN on March 9, 2006, and I was listed as "Processing Application" on that day. Day 60 of the waiting game is today, still "Processing Application".......... :( :(

Ok, so now that I've reached day 60, when should I place the "Wanted to double check the status of my application" call to DPS? :)
